I94 expiry and change of Jobs

Hi,

I have a quick question .

I’m currently on H1B visa due to passport expiry my current I94 expires March 22nd 2016 and I recently got a better offer and they have initiated H1B transfer filed under premium through which I do get a new I94 . However I will have to continue in my current job till end of March and Join new position from April 1st week.

Given that my transfer is approved and I get a new I94 through new company , can I continue with my current company till end of March ? or do I have to join the new company prior to the I94 expiry ?
