AOS pending, EAD/AP received, new job offer, travel for 6 months between jobs

Hi,

Say my AOS is pending for 180+ days and I have received EAD/AP card.  I received an offer from a company with similar job but better pay.  I have accepted the job offer but would like to take a vacation of 6 months in between.  I no longer plan to be on H1B and use EAD + AC21 with the new employer, who is fine if I join 6 months later.  My travel plans are:

1.  Spend 3 months in Europe backpacking
2.  Return to the US
3.  Leave in two weeks to India and travel South Asia for 2 months
4.  Return to the US and then join the new employer

Would this be a problem at port of entries every time I return to the US?  Would they deny me entry if I say I'm on a break between two jobs.  I can carry the confirmed offer from the new employer in case that would help.

What are your thoughts?

Talk to your attorney and understand how various scenarios could play out.It definitely sounds fun
