EB1b procedure and timeframes

Hi, I have been following this forum for a while and thanks to everyone for such a helpful forum

My company is sponsoring my EB1B and I am currently working on the applications. Mainly, I am assembling my recommendation letters. Luckily, my recommenders have been very helpful so far and things are moving fairly quickly and I expect to submit my application in the 1st week of December. Will do premium processing. Fragomen is the lawfirm

1) How is the typical timeframe and what are the steps involved

   - My understanding, I-140 decision in 15 days (say Dec 15). Then I have to apply for I1485, EAD, AP.. how do these things pan out.

2) I am fearing a layoff, but the situation is reasonably safe for another 6 months. So, should I wait it out or just join another company and apply from there? Will having an approved I140 be beneficial. My manager is very supportive and he can probably not do the I140 revoking. (Unless the lawyers force him or something)

Any suggestions in this case are welcome
