SMuthyam
Hi, I have few questions on H1B I797B notice. My H1B got approved and got an I797B instead of I797A as I traveled during the process of my H1B. My questions are: 1) Do I need to travel out of country and get my H1B stamping done before my H1B starts? 2) In my approval notice it is mentioned as Hyderabad in the consulate region. So, do I need to go back to India only? 3) In order to get an I797A, is it advisable to make an H1B transfer to a different employer where I can get I797A after the transfer and before my H1B period starts i.e. Oct 1,2015? Thank you all in advance. Awaiting your valuable replies. Link to comment
jairichi
1. Yes. 2. Better to go to home country. 3. That transfer application and most likely your approved petition will be denied and revoked respectively. Link to comment
