H1B/H4 VISA stamping - New Delhi or Ottawa (Canada)

Hi Team,

 

Here is my situation, I have done my last visa Stamping in Ottawa (expired Oct 9, 2014), Now I need to renew/H1 extension VISA stamping.

 

I have started DS-160 (Not submitted), and using the DS-160 number I have booked an appointment in Ottawa consulate for Nov 4th, but to some personal reasons I need to be in India by Oct end. Tring every day but not seeing any slot for re-schedule my appointment for Oct.

Now I'm considering India (new Delhi) for stamping and have below questions - 

 

1 - Can I change Interview location in my DS-160 ? not submitted yet and use the same FEE receipt number for booking appointment in India ? How will it work.. ?

2- If I book an appointment before Oct 9th 2015, with in 12 months of my expired Visa, will there be any benefit ?

3- My wife had last H4 stamping from India, will she eligible for Dropbox  or should I book appointment together (H1/H4) ?

 

Else, Any advise how I can get an appointment date in Ottawa earlier for Oct ? Can I call them and request ?

1. Fill a new DS160.

2. No benefit.

3. She is eligible for dropbox if she fulfills all other eligibility requirement but not you.

 

If dates are not available online calling them is of no use.

For question 1 : You need to pay the fee again if you are planning to go for interview in New Delhi . Canada Fee receipt wont work.

2: Not sure

3:she should be eligible for drop box.

 

For the ottawa appointment,,, if you are going along with your wife,, Create separate account for your wife and try booking the slot individually . Chances of finding the single slot will be much higher than booking together.
