titaniumx
I understand that as a H1b Worker you are supposed to work only for your sponsor. I have an office and my job does not require to work on client locations. Recently I have been contacted by individuals who are willing to donate for an open source project I own. I told them as long as I contribute my code for that project from US I won't be able to accept donations. However I am just curious, what if my Sponsor (a private US company) is willing to accept donations to that project, and then on their own discretion willing to give all or a portion of the donation to me? Would that be legal? Since technically its my Employer who would be paying me as part of regular paycheck. Link to comment
jairichi
That will be considered immigration fraud. A sane employer will not do so. Link to comment
