pvkprasad
Hi I came to the US on a L1B in Dec 2008 . L1 was extended till Aug 2013. From Aug 2013 to Aug 2016 I am now on H1B (I had I 140 approved before I applied for the H1). So currently I have little less than 1 year on my H1B. If I now change my job and tranfer my H1, will there be an issue in getting my H1 extended next year? Would I need to get a new labor and I 140 before extending my H1 or will H1 extend but it will be for 1 year increments? Thanks in advance for your advice Regards Link to comment
jairichi
If at the time of decision making by USCIS on your H1B petition with new employer your I-140 is valid you are eligible for fresh 3 years. Link to comment
