F1grad
Hi, I came to US on H-4 dependent visa and recently changed to F-1 visa. I do not have a stamp on my passport for F-1 visa and have I-94 document. I completed my course work in August 2015 and my graduation ceremony in Dallas, Texas is held in December 2015. I would like to invite my mom for my graduation. Meanwhile, my husband changed his job and we are moving to Atlanta. My husband is sponsoring my mom's visa and his H-1 change is in progress now. Should I wait for us to move to Atlanta and collect necessary documents to apply for my mom's visa or should I go ahead and apply with the old documents? Also, while she travels, she will be staying with us in Atlanta. We will travel back to Dallas for the graduation. Will having the graduation ceremony in Dallas and staying in Atlanta be an issue? Thanks for your responses in advance. Link to comment
jairichi
There is no sponsorship for a visitor visa. From you side send an invitation letter to your mom and the graduation ceremony invitation. Link to comment
