I94 On OLD Visa Exp in Sep 2015 But have I797 till 2018

Hi Gurus,

 

Need Help with this Please.

 

I was having VISA till SEP 2015 ( expiring next month based on my old I-797). 

My Company has 2 locations in India and as well in US.

In February 2015 My US organization hired me and filed my New I-797 which is Valid from FEB 2015- FEB 2018.

 

 

When I cam here in Feb 2015 I came on my OLD VISA which I was already stamped based on my OLD I-797 and Valid till SEP 2015. On entry I was Issued I-94 till SEP 2015 based on my OLD VISA.

 

The only catch I was having my Extended Petition at that time but I have not shown at Port Of entry as I was not aware of.

 

 

The Issue is

Now my VISA and I94 both Expiring on 14 Sep 2015.

But I do have my Extended I797 with me till 2018

 

How can I extend my I-94?

Will it be possible if I go to Mexico and come back and show my updated I-797 at airport again will help in I-94 Extension.
