Hi,

Currently i am at company A working in USA. I got a new offer from company B, and they applied for H1B transfer on July 10th and it reaches the USICS office by July 13th.

I havnt recevied the receipt number of my application till date.

For normal process how much time it takes for USCIS to generate receipt number and provide the same in recent days?

Is it ok to join company B after getting the receipt number? Intially i was asked to join with febx tracking number, is it better to wait for receipt number and then initate seperate process from company A.

Your employer will receive a receipt notice within 7 to 10 days.

Though it is legal to start working for new employer with a receipt notice it is better to wait for approval. You will be in trouble if after resignation current employer revokes H1B petition and new employer's H1B petition is denied.

Hi Thanks for your reply.

Its been more than 10 business days, till my employer havnt received the receipt number. Whether there might be any problem with application?

I need one more clarification, once i get the receipt number whether the employer can upgrade to premium processing or they need to wait for few more days to upgrade.

Employer or attorney has to contact USCIS. Yes, it can be upgraded to PP anytime.

Hi,

I got the receipt number on 4th Aug,

I have another concern regards to h1b transfer,

I came to USA on 12th Apr, Currently my employer COMPANY A in a one of the reputed company

My name is bit long, when i applied for SSN, it didnt fit in their system. And they took nearly 4-5 weeks to provide my SSN.

Since i didnt have SSN, my employer A didnt generate my paystub. Once i got my SSN, Employer A generated my paystub on Jun 15 for the period 1st to 15th June.

And paid the amound from 12th Apr to 31st May are paid as ARRERS in my paystub with tax and other amount withold in my paystub statement.

When i applied for H1b transfer i gave two paystubs, 1st to Jun to 15th Jun & 16th Jun to 30 Jun.

Once i updated my SSN i didnt face any issue in getting my paystub generated.

Will this create any problem during my H1b transfer. Will i get RFE due to this?

As long as you were paid the amount mentioned in LCA you are fine.
