221(g) H1b visa- hyd consulate asked me to submit my passport

Hello,

 

I have attended H1-b visa interview at Hyd consulate on 3rd June 2015. I got an email  from consulate on 24th  July saying - "This is in reference to your visa application.  Please submit your passport at the VAC or VFS office at the earliest for further processing of your case."

 

So i have submitted my passport on same day i.e 24th july. Its been 3 business days now, can you anyone let me know how many days does typically consulate takes time.

Since consulate asked me to submit my passport, so that is a positive sign(it got approved?)

Looks like your visa is approved. You might get your passport with a visa this week itself.

can you tell me what was the reason of your 221g or rfe ?

What were you asked during the interview?

 

This would be helpful to me as I am also planning to attend visa.
