Hi,

My H1b is expiring on Oct 31st, 2015. I am on the 12th year of h1b with an approved I-140. The h1b extension was filed on June 15th of this year. Usually I get the approval with in a month or 2 even if it is regular processing. But I am getting worried as it's more than a month now. Is anyone on the same boat?

How long it will is taking right now to get the extension approved? I never had any issue (no rfe), same employer, same client etc. should I be worried that it will not be approved? Should I look for another company in case this takes longer time?

Can someone please suggest?

Thanks much.

Don't need to worry as USCIS stopped processing extensions for a few months due to various reasons and everyone is getting delayed. Their site states that regular processing takes about 2 months and I guess you should get your approval in another month or so. You should be good and don't need to worry about changing jobs etc since you stated everything is legitimate. Thanks!
