Hi,

I applied for H1B visa last year and on Sep 26th 2014, my visa got denied while it was in RFE.

The company which applied for H1B has not shared the denial reasons as it was against to their company policy.

Now this year the company which im working in (different from comapny which applied H1B) is applying B1 visa for me.

The DS-160 form asks below questions for applying B1 Visa

Have you ever been refused a U.S. Visa, or been refused admission to the United States, or withdrawn your application for admission at the port of entry?

Has anyone ever filed an immigrant petition on your behalf with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services?

Have you been refused twice withing last 12 months. If yes mention visa type:

could anyone please help me understand will these questions apply to my case?

Will there be any problem if I apply for B1 visa.

Thank you.

Have you ever been refused a U.S. Visa, or been refused admission to the United States, or withdrawn your application for admission at the port of entry? YES

Has anyone ever filed an immigrant petition on your behalf with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services? NO This applies to I-140 petition so if that has never been filed you can say no.

Have you been refused twice withing last 12 months. If yes mention visa type: You should know the answer to this.

The answer for the first question might be wrong probably due to OP using incoreect words. I believe his H1B petition was denied after a RFE. In that case OP has to answer NO.
