Please guide::Is birth certificate

Hello experts

 

I am filing I130 for my wife. I am naturalized citizen and filing I 130 for my wife. Is birth certificate  of  me of me or myt wife required for filing i-130? We dont have any kids. I read the I130 instructions but could no see anywhere that birth certificates are required. specially wife, she is unable to get it. I do have her passport copy stating her date of birth.

I believe in previous versions, birth certificate was  a requirement, but not anymore. I can understand proving US citizen by birth may require birth certificate, I am naturalized, Please help guide whether we still need the birth certificates?
