axbycz
Hi, I have traveled and re-entered US in 2012 and got I94 at that time until 2013 (which was my h1b expiry date). later I got my h1b extended until 2016 along with the i94 attached to my h1b copy. I have recently amended my h1b when i changed to a different client location and got h1b until 2016 along with I94 which has expiry date until 2016. I have checked I94 online and it shows the details of the one that i traveled in 2012 with expiry date of 2013. Does this online i94 checking only when you travel? It is confusing because i have a h1b with i94 with 2016 date and online shows 2013 as expiry date. My wife has also similar thing, she entered US on H4 in 2013 which has i94 with expiry date in 2016 but she did COS to F1 and has OPT now with a new I94 (even the i94 number is different) but when she checks online, it does not reflect her exact expiry date of her new i94 online, it reflects h4 i94 but the change that i observed online is her i94 # is the new # that she has received from F1 OPT. Can anyone comment if i have to make any corrections Thanks Link to comment
rahul412
Forget about online details, if you have a valid I94 with you then you are safe. Link to comment
ad2010
The new I-94 which you got with new I-797 is sent by USCIS and it will not be available in CBP website. You are good if you have the extended hard copy. Dont forget to surrender it the airlines when you are going out of the country (outside Canada/Mexico). Link to comment
