H1B Travel with Future Approval

Hi,

 

I am currently on H1-B with an end date of current approval around July 20th 2015. My employer field the extension and i got the approval for that extension until July 2016.

 

I am planning to travel to India around May 10 2015 and planning return in First week of June  during which i will end up with one current I-797 and  a future I-797 (For Post Jul'15 petition). My employer had said to use the latest approved EAC number ( i.e  Post July) for filling the Ds-160.

 

I  have the following questions:

 

a) Will i be given the visa from current day to end of future petition date or would that be from start date of future petition to end of future petition date. ( As i use the corresponding EAC number in DS 160).

 

b) Is there anything that i need to worry about during port of entry once i am granted visa from current day to future petition end date.

 

Please clarify.

a. From the date visa is approved/stamped.

b. No. Carry both I797s.
