hbadger
Hi, My wife applied for her COS H4 to F1 on 18th Dec 2014. We have still not heard from USCIS till today. Is anyone else in the same boat? The COS was for the Spring quarter which started on Mar 31 2015. Her internship starts on June 14 2015. If they deny, what are our options? Thanks, Link to comment
jairichi
It takes 3 to 4 months for a decision. Your spouse has to contact USCIS. If denied she will be on H4 as long her H4 I94 hasnot expired. Link to comment
nazeem_n
Hi, I am in the same boat. I applied for H4 - F1. (797C receipt date is December 12th). I called USCIS and spoke to them. They are still working on September 22, 2014 cases per their case processing time link https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processingTimesDisplay.do I asked the lady that the link says it was updated as of February 28th, 2014 but she responded that it was only for the field offices and not service centers that deal with I-539 and the information was as of April 13th, 2014. Now I am confused what to do as my internship start date is June 5th, 2014 and I need my I-20 signed by DSO for CPT approval before then. Link to comment

If it is that urgent you can exit and enter with a valid F1 visa and supporting documents. Link to comment
rahul412
You have to wait until your COS is approved. Link to comment

Since i submitted a paper application, will I be able to see the approval online as well or do I have to wait it out and hear from my mailman? Link to comment
