firsth1
Hello !! I completed a project recently in GA and joined a new project in IL last week. I am planning to go to India in next month. I have to get my first H1B stamping when I go to India in next month. My employer is in the process of doing H1 amendment for the new project at IL. Will there be any questions if I go to visa stamping with my GA drivers license ? Do I need to get a IL drivers license to be on safe side ? Please let me know if anyone was in similar situation or experienced issues in visa stamping for not changing drivers license when they moved from one state to other. Thanks, Kumar Link to comment
Kishore Kumar
You should have IL driver's license with IL address if not you ll get 221G. Better to change DL to IL and go for stamping. VO did checked my work location and DL when I attended for H1 stamping in Vancouver on 01/20/15. Link to comment
firsth1
Are they doing this check at consulates in India also ? Link to comment
shekar11#
You never know what Visa officer's may ask. We should be always prepared with the updated documents. Address fraud is big in US. So better change DL to avoid unnecessary questions from VO. Link to comment
