H1B Evaluation

Hello Hello-

 

I was on H1 from 2006 October to 2011 April in US. My H1 was valid until Oct 2012 but I moved back to India for personal reasons in April 2011. Am I now eligible to apply for a fresh H1 quota of 6 years? Will the remaining 1.5 yrs on my old H1 be considered or is it as good as lost?

You are eligible for a new cap subject H1B petition and you are eligible for 6 years. If a cap exempt H1B petition is filed you get the remainder 1.5 years.
