Does stamp date on H4 visa depend on stamp date on Spouse's H1 visa?

Hello,

My Husband attended H1 visa interview in Oct'14 and got it stamped until Dec 31st 2015. I am about to go for H4 stamping on April 15th. Meanwhile, his H1 got extended until Jan 2017, but he doesnot have stamping on it. He is in USA now. If he sends me that paper and i take it to the interview, are there good chances of the Embassy stamping my H4 until Jan 2017 even though his visa stamp is only until Dec 2015? Kindly advice....

Your H4 visa should be till January,2017.

Thank you, encouraging reply. I am attending the Biometrics tomorrow, interview on April 15th. I shall post the results for help to others soon.
