KKOTA
I got a job offer from an Employer in New Jersy and I reside in Pennsylvania. The offer letter asks for a 15 month bond. And In case if I leave the firm before 15 months, I have to pay 2000 for each of the month not served. IS THIS LEGAL? Can the employer sue me if I do not pay this amount and quit before 15 months? Can he file any charges against me?Please please help. Link to comment
jairichi
Yes, it is legal. Stay away from such employer and never sign any bonds. Link to comment
JoeF
Such bonds are not legal in the US. Find a better employer. This one is obviously a fraud. Link to comment

Is not the exemption only for California state? And, once signed it is a legal document in rest of US. Though it is not legal for an employer to ask an employee to sign one. Link to comment
