sanjay.gudi
Hi, My wife she is on H4 and when she entered last time into US her password validity was less than 6 months and thus her I-94 was till April 24 2015. Questions here is 1) Do she really renew the I-94? since she is not working? 2) How about crossing the mexico border brownsville 3) What and all documents to be carried out, if we need to cross border. 4) Do we need any Mexican visa? Thanks Sanjay Link to comment
jairichi
1. Yes. She needs to file an extension of status using for I-539. 2. She can cross the border and ask for a new I94 based on a copy of your I797. 3. Valid passport, copy of your I797. 4. No. Link to comment
delightsanthu
Hi, My wife is also in same boat. She got valiad I-797 valid till 2017.But at POE she entered with old I-797 which is valid till may 2014. We went to local USCIS office , they mentioned she got valid I-797 and I-94( But online I-94 shows expired in May 2014) Do I really need to apply for an extension of stay ( little concerned as she was applying H4 EAD on may26th) Your suggestions are appriciated. pontevecchio
The easiest option would be to file an Extension of status for her based on your H1. Link to comment
