radhaa
Hello, I am currently on H1B and have been working in H1 for quite some years. I have an approved EB3 140 with priority date of 2008 and a perm filed in EB2 this year. I have small children to care for and considering reduced hours/flexibility but it is not possible in my current demanding role .My spouse has a priority date of Dec 2011 in EB2. I have so far waited for the green card to move forward and have been holding on without taking a break or changing jobs considering the long term impact and ability to return back to work. At the same time, I have a newborn and toddler and wish I could spend more time for them at this phase of life. The H4 EAD seems to offer some possibilities and am envisioning whether I would be able to take up part time/telecommute jobs that allow more flexibility & more work life balance. However if I change my job my GC process will also be stalled.Since there is also expectations of the proposed 140 EAD, am not clear whether it would be helpful. I am sharing this conundrum here to get some feedback on the possibilities and whether am missing something as the best course of action. Its perhaps easier to get some feedback from a detached view of the situation. Thanks for taking the time to read and look forward to some inputs. Link to comment
JoeF
THe H4 EAD allows to work anywhere, in any job, and of course remotely or part-time. Link to comment
ashuneel
considering your priority date of 2008 and a perm filed in EB2 this year there is a good chance you can do concurrent filing towards Sept-Oct this year based on current predictions. I assume PERM approval by that time and current predictions hold true. Link to comment
