H1B Application Procedure

Hi everyone,

 

Last year i applied for H1B. My employer said "my case has not been picked in lottery". Hence based on my knowledge that USCIS sents atleast packet return with a receipt or note, back to employer address, I asked them to provide the receipt or packet to me. But instead my employer said USCIS stopped sending packets or notes for cases not picked in lottery since 2-3years. Hence concluded that they dont have any packet or note or lottery pick infact nothing on my case. I would just wish to know if USCIS really stopped sending packets or receipt to cases which are not picked?

USCIS returns the packets to the employer regarding candidates not picked in lottery....

USCIS will send back the whole packet if its not selected in the lottery.

If you don't trust that employer then why don't you find another one.

Thanks for the information. I already changed my employer. But this kind of scenario which happened to me last year, left a doubt about the procedure. Hence wanted to make sure that same wont repeat again.
