garytpc
Hello Gurus, I made a mistake of applying late (applied Dec 2nd 2014) for my EAD combo card renewal. Unfortunately after reaching out to USCIS they said they would not work on any EAD application that is under 75 days. I understand that with out EAD I will have to go off payroll and cannot work. My Questions is I heard about this 245(k) rule where one can work until the EAD renewal comes in or 180 days. Have anyone used this option? If so what is the process. Please advise. Thanks in advance for your advice and appreciate your time. Gary Link to comment
pontevecchio
Look up " GREENCARD POSSIBLE AFTER STATUS VIOLATION : 245(K) BENEFIT" in the Murthy website and all is explained. I have not been able to cut and paste anything in the forum for more than an year or I would have given the link. Link to comment
garytpc
Thank you Sir! Fortunately I did not have to use it as I received my EAD approval a day before it expires. Phew! It was close. Thanks to this forum, I was able to get lot of valuable info. Regards Gary Link to comment
