I am on employment based EAD with chemistry background. I work in an environmental lab. I am planning to switch my career and either do Law or IT. I am planning to move towards it by doing part time Masters degree but afraid that if I do it, I might loose my EAD based on current field of work (Chemistry). Will I be able to transfer my current EAD (chemistry based) into a different field of work (IT/Law) if I get an online Masters degree? Thank you all! Link to comment
ashuneel Posted January 29, 2015 Report Share Posted January 29, 2015 EAD if based on pending I-485 can be used only to take up new job in a field/ position closely related to the underlying filing. This can be done using provisions of AC21 act. Link to comment
