H1b visa approved -Jamaica

Hi All,

 

I had my visa interview in Jan 1st week .F1-H1 , EVC model only 3 questions pretty straight forward 

 

1)why jamiaca why not india

ans- Not much vacation left so came to jamaica

 

2)what is your role in your company

3)How long have you been working in your company

 

They gave a white slip saying visa approved. First day passport status changed to Admin processing , 2 day changed to issued and received passport on 5th business day including the day of interview. Please get the WFH option as i have seen for few it is taking 2 weeks to get passport even after it is approved. Please dont ignore this it depends on luck how quick you will get your passport. Stay close to embassy it is safe neighbourhood. Good luck,

Did u receive any cancellation email and then you got rescheduled to January or you scheduled yourself..

Hi Srini, 

 

Thanks for sharing your case.  I am interested in getting my h1b visa stamped in Jamaica and have a couple of questions. I have not booked my appointment yet.

 

1) My previous H1B visa stamping (done in India) has expired and I am currently in the US on a valid I-797 petition with a new employer. Can we get the visa stamping done in Jamaica after change of employer ? 

 

2) Am i still eligible after the Oct 31st change in rules ?

Hi Vicky t, yes you are right received cancellation email and then the embassy rescheduled.

Suhail, as far as I know if you have previous stamping in India , you are good to go...change of employer should not be a issue. You are eligible I seen one person as your case ,but please re confirm again by calling the embassy of Kingston US phone numbers.
