h1b stamping, passport expiry - need info

Hi All,

 

I have an approved h1b petition. I am appearing for visa stamping now. My passport is expiring on October 2015. I have a doubt, whether my visa stamping will be issued till my passport expiry date or my h1b expiry date. Please let me know.

H1B expiry date. Your I94 will be issued based on passport expiry.

Either you exit and enter with a valid visa, I797 and both (old and new) passports or employer files an extension. Former is easy as the latter involves employer paying H1B fee.
