error when submitting I90 form

hi...we had to submit form I90 to replace green card for my stepson...his initial greencard was mailed  but did not reach us...and it was not returned to USPS as undeliverable so we need to file form I90 for him.....the  problem is we just realized that we have chosen the wrong application type on part 2 of the form I90..we chose 2b  when it should be 2a...what do we do now...its been 2 weeks since USCIS had received it but no reply from them yet...we have sent also the check for the fee/s... pls provide us any information that would be of help to us...thanks

Why is 2 b wrong? It seems the card was issued but not received.
