H1B - Travelling to a POE other than Employer's location

Hi,

 

I got H1B recently and I am planning to travel to US in Jan 2015.

My brother is living (in US) in a city which is far away (around 7 hr drive) from my employer's location. So, if I wish to arrive at my brother's place instead of my employer's, will it be an issue at Port of Entry?

No.

Sometimes the nearest international airport (POE) is  7 hr away or more from job location so not much can be done there.

Really sorry for not mentioning that there is a POE at my employer's location also. Will it be a problem in that case?
