F1 approved but unable to take up education at this time..

Hi,

    I've my F1 approved, but due to few family constraints I'm unable to attend college scheduled the forth-coming winter quarter. The college doesn't entertain any deferment of entry to the college other than the intended term which was mentioned at the time of application. I'm aware that the SEVIS fee should be anyways paid again as it expires after 12 months. But my question is:

  Can I use this visa for another college may be a year later? Kindly suggest.

No, you would need a new visa.

Yes.

The existing visa becomes invalid after 5 months if you are not attending the institution.
