L1 to H1b change employer

Hi guys, 

 

here is the situation 

 

-Currently in L1a with 5th year 

-Perm pending with current employer for more than 365 days 

 

If I apply H1b with a different employer ( This will be new H1b with cap ), with the perm pending condition will I be able to get 1 year on h1b ? or the H1b will be will till my 6th year which is Apr 2016. 

 

please let me know.

If you get selected in lottery and H1B gets approved your employer can request for 1 year extension based on PERM pending for more than 365 days.

Thanks Sir, is that applicable when the H1b is applied for a different employer not from my current employer. my current employer is reluctant in applying h1b due to some internal policy.

Yes, any employer can do so.

is the A number enough ?
