As present company is not able to give opportunities to go to US, I am looking into different opportunities to go to US including visa transfer (or) H1b tranfser? Please guide me on this to proceed further. That's not visa transfer, it's called H1 transfer which is nothing but a new h1 but cap exempt. Yes that's possible, new employer can file your H1. You need a valid H1B visa (even if it is from old employer) and I797 approval notice from new employer to enter US. Link to comment

As I am in india with a valid H1b visa from X company, other company(Y) can do h1 transfer for me.And I can go to US with Visa from X and H1b petition from Y. Based on that I am taking step of doing h1 transfer from other company and I will resign from X.I will carry H1b petition from Y and visa from X and go to US. I think it will not give any problem at port of entry. Link to comment

I think it will not give any problem at port of entry. That is correct. Resign only after H1B petition filed by Y is approved. Your current valid H1B visa and employer Y's I797 is needed to enter US.
