Re-entering on AP, online I94 different from extension I94

Hello, 

Seeking urgent advice, as I'm traveling to Canada in 2 days. Thank you!

 

My last re-entry to US was on August 15 2013, returning from my home country. Upon entry, CBP officer stamped my passport according to my first H1B petition expiry date and visa stamp, with an admit until date of 9/24/2013.

So I got the online I-94 to be valid up to 9/24/2013

 

Then with an October 2nd Notice Date, I got my H1B extension with I-797A valid from 9/15/2013 to 2016. 

 

As of today, still my online I-94 is different from my H1B I94.

The online I94 still reflects my last entry date and old admit until date.

 

In the mean time, I have receive my Advanced parole and going to use it for travel.

 

Now, in 2 days, I'm planning to travel to Canada for 5 days, and going re-enter on Advanced Parole (using AP for the first time).

 

My questions:

Do I need to fill the back and turn in the I-94 that came in with my new H1B extension I797A (2013-2016) when I'm leaving to Canada?

(Or should I hold on to it and show the new I797A's I-94 to CBP upon re-entry to US?)

 

If I really have to turn in the new I94 from the H1B I797A, can I hold on to the original and turn in a copy to the airline so that I have the original to show when I return on AP?
 

Does the I-94 matter if I'm re-entering on Advanced Parole?
