debdeepb34 Posted November 23, 2014 Report Share Posted November 23, 2014 My Wife is on H4 visa and she has got acceptance from Northeastern Univ for masters program. Her courses start in April 2015. We are planning to visit India in first week of January. Can she get her stamping done in January? If she gets F1 stamped on her passport will he H4 get cancelled? She will comeback with me in Jan.Will she be allowed to enter USA using the F1 she gets stamped? Link to comment
jairichi Posted November 24, 2014 Report Share Posted November 24, 2014 Yes, she can apply for F1 stamping in January but she can enter on F1 visa not more than 30 days before course start date. Normally her H4 visa will be canceled. Not on F1 visa. Link to comment
