I-94 cannot find online record, PP about to expire.

Hi,

 

I am not able to find the electronic record for my i-94 online. Can anyone help me suggest what to do? Last time I was out of this country was in 2008 on student visa. Since then I changed to H1b. 

 

I do have a i-94 attached to my H1b extension approval document from last year (Jan 2013). The date on it is till Dec 2015, same as the validity of my H1b. But reading through this forum I see that the i-94 will expire if the passport expires? If so how can I get a new i-94? My Passport will expire in Feb 2015 and I am already in process of renewing it.

 

Any suggestions will really help.

No online record will exist as your last entry was in 2008 when only paper I94 existed. Since your H1B I797 has valid I94 till Dec 2015 you are fine till that date.

The I94 will expire in December 2015.  That keeps you legal. Your hypothetical scenario is applicable to a person entering the country. Move on.
