U.S. Consulate in Calgary closed for November due to renovations as repoted on their website.

toronto not usually available at short notice.

i had gone to the Canadian consulate (Detroit) an got visa in 3 hrs. not sure if they do same day visas now. from there you can simply drive to Toronto or fly to other consulates. Plan for 4 days stay in Canada atleast. if your interview is Monday morning US visa  will be issued on wed at 3:00 PM sharp. If you are late(say 3: 15 PM) you may have to come the next day.

When did you got your canada visa.. how recent?? I heard that in person visas are only at LA & NY?

my canada visa was March 2010 @ Detroit ( GM center).

I heard that in Canada dates were booked till end of December in all other locations except in Ottawa.
