F1 visa expired, opt extension expiring in Dec 2014

Hi,

My f1 visa expired last year and my opt extension is expiring this Dec 15. I applied for h1b,but didn't get picked up in lottery. Currently I am working as a full time employee.

My questions:

1. Can I apply for a university for spring 2015 and stay legally and also study even if my f1 visa is expired?

2. My fiance is also on opt. She just extended her opt and has 17 more months. She is also working as full time employee. We are planning to get married this December. Is it safe to travel abroad and come back on f2 visa? What are my chances of getting f2 visa?

Please help me with this... Any suggestions would be appreciated.

1. Admission for spring session is over in all good universities.

2. Yes, that is possible. Getting a F2 visa is based on ability of your spouse to support you.

Yes you may stay in the US with an expired F1 visa as long as you maintain F1 status.
