Visa approved on Oct6th..however, Visa issued after 2 weeks

Guys FYI,

I had attended the visa interview on Oct 6th at Jamaica and VO said my visa has been approved. however, it took 2 and 1/2 weeks to issue passport. not sure about any reason for the delay.

Thats sad to hear? Did you had to wait in Jamaica for that long. How long had you initially planned the trip for?

 my friend got visa approved two weeks back along with me but his passport did not get delivered yet.

 

In visa status check online site, status is being showed as ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING while for rest of us it has changed to Issued in only two days.

 

we called the jamaican US consulate customer support and also emailed them, they replied that it might take few days to several weeks.

we went to embassy in Jamaica but they are telling to wait.

Please let me know if you have faced similar issue and what steps you took to get your passport

My friend is facing similar issue. His interview was done on 14 th october. VO said visa approved but he did not get the passport yet.
