Visa stamping at chennai consulate with DUI first offense

Pls guys, never drink and drive! 

 

I got DUI - 1st offense charged on November 2013. Case went to the court and it got amended to Reckless driving and 48 hours class. All cleared(no probation). 

My driving is suspended for 6 months and currently I am commuting on work permit(IA allows you to commute to work). Dept Of Transportation Iowa will give back my driving license in March 2015. After March 2015 the DOT will keep my DL in probation for one year(DOT probation not the Judicial one as court case is cleared without probation)

planning to get my visa stamp in Chennai, looking for your suggestion which will help  me in so many ways.....

I think you should seek legal aid. Though as per my experience who won’t have any problem in getting your stamp but still I will suggest you to consult with a competent DUI lawyer who handles immigration cases.
