jnjn
My H1 from Employer A is valid till Jan 2016. I moved to Employer B a few months back. I plan to travel to India early next year. Should I get a stamping on the basis of my new H1 from Employer B? Is there an option for employer A to cancel my visa? If so, how can I find that? If my visa is valid, can I transit through UK or other European countries? Thanks very much! Link to comment
jairichi
You can travel back with existing valid H1B visa and new employer's I797. Old employer can only revoke your H1B petition but not cancel your visa. With a valid H1B visa you can transit via UK. Link to comment
jairichi
You won’t need a visa if you: are travelling to Canada, New Zealand or the USA and have a valid visa for that country are travelling from Canada, New Zealand or the USA and it’s less than 6 months since you last entered that country with a valid entry visa are travelling to or from Australia and you have an Australian visa sticker in your passport - Australian e-visas and paper confirmation slips aren’t accepted by UK border control have a valid US permanent residence card issued on or after 21 April 1998 (or an I-797 extension letter issued by the Bureau of Citizenship if it’s expired) have a valid Canadian permanent resident card issued on or after 28 June 2002 have a valid uniform format category D visa for entry to a state in the European Economic Area (EEA) have a valid uniform format residence permit issued by an EEA state Link to comment
pontevecchio
You do not need a new visa stamp. The previous employer is legally obligated to revoke the H1 petition with them. A visa is issued by a sovereign nation and the previous employer has no standing. As far as transit look at the relevant consulates. Link to comment
