Green Card status and immigration status

Recommended Posts

A women came to US in Dec 2010.

She was on H1 visa and her husband on H1B. Possibly her husband labor application was approved before marriage. The marriage took place in December 2010.

In February 2012,the form I-485 was jointly filed by the husband employer for both husband and wife together.

Due to some reasons , the application was late and the green card was not approved at that time because the date had moved back.

After that there was no activity for long time.

The date of issue of EAD is not known.

In the month of April 2014, there was request for evidence was filed because dates were current again.

Following this the green card were issued in August 2014.After 15 days of issuance of green card, the husband filed for divorce on the ground of irretrievable breakdown of marriage.

Now following are the questions:

1.Since the wife green card has gone missing, what could be the possible range of

the expiry of the green card?

2.If the green card issued possibly conditional or unconditional?

3.In both the scenarios i.e. conditional and unconditional green card, how is

immigration status of the wife effected in case of the dissolution of marriage?

4.If during the divorce proceeding, the husband alleges domestic violence and abuse on the part of wife, is it possible that the green card be revoked?

What could be the possible remedies to the situation?

Really appreciate your advise on the above matter.

Thanks
