nt2014
My question is regarding US citizenship and whether I should answer Yes or No regarding failing to provide child support payments. I still have two more years to apply for citizenship. I was married in January 2006 in India and divorce finalized in June 2007 in India. My ex-wife was with me from period of January 2007 to March 2007 in US. The child was born in November 2007 in India almost nine months after divorce. My ex-wife nationality is Indian as well at the time of divorce. There were no claims made for alimony or child support at time of divorce and afterwards it wasn't pursued in India or United States. I'm not aware of the their whereabouts. I became US permanent resident in July 2011. What options do I have if I answer Yes? Can I answer No since there was no claim? Link to comment
JoeF
The "child support" question is about paying child support as ordered by a court. Link to comment
jairichi
Your answer has to be NO as you are not providing any child support payments. Link to comment
