Formalities at the port of entry

I will be traveling to US on H1B visa for the first time in a few days. I had previously travelled on a F1 Visa. I am little confused about the formalities related to I 94. I have a I 797 A with me, which has a I94 attached to it at the bottom. Do I need to tear the card and hand it over to the immigration officer at the port of entry? What are the other formalities at the port of entry ?

You need to show - Passport with the visa stamped page + I-797A original approval copy.

 

While entering, you don't need to surrender I-94. If you show, IO will keep it with him.

Didn't you left your I94 when you left US??

You were supposed to hand that I-94 in when you left.

You will get a new I-94 when you enter, all electronic.

Present your passport and I797. Submit any other documents requested by immigration officer and answer truthfully.
