LJ007
Hi guys, I was initially planning to go for my H1b stamping in Calgary, Canada sometime in October or November 2014. I have received my visitor visa already. I am now ready to apply the DS-160, but we would need to pick a Consulate first before doing so. I wanted to pick the consulate based on the dates availability, as I heard from some friends that they dont have any dates available to Calgary this month. Can anyone of you that have access to the calendar, please be kind enough to let me know which consulate has the dates available like in early October? Thank you very much for your help. rakesht
Well you don't necessarly need to fill out the whole DS-160 to book an appointment go here (https://ceac.state.gov/GenNIV) and fill out just the basic information) you will get the Application ID and using that application id go to (https://usvisa-info.com/) and pay your fees and you are good to go you check the availables dates all over canada, make sure you fill out your full DS-160 form after find your required date. Hope this helps ! Link to comment

LJ007
One more question. Sorry for being ignorant. How is the approval process in Ottawa? I know most of the process are the same and the approval is based on how solid are your documentation and paperwork, but I have been reading online and some were saying Calgary not many questions asked, as the rate of rejections is low, to avoid Toronto as they are stricter and lots of rejections. omshiv
All consulates are the same..it's not that at some consulates layman officers sit and at others tough ones.. Link to comment
