H1 transfer without paystub

I am currently on H4 in US and applied for H1 this year. It got approved. If I want to switch the company and transfer the H1 to that company, can I do it before October without any paystubs? Is it possible to transfer the H1 after October 1st even if I don't start working by then?

Yep. But need to file transfer sooner - say within 1st week of Oct. If delayed like a month or so, USCIS may ask paystub.

Yes that's possible, but make sure that you didn't sign any agreement with that employer before you leave.

On the same note, for petitions approved through Consular processing, is it mandatory to be on H-1 status for initiating a transfer from one employer to another. Have read about people doing it while outside the country.

 

If currently maintaining H-4 status, does status automatically move to H-1 (petition not filed as COS)

 

How would it pan out if a transfer petition with a COS from H-4 to H-1 is filed together.
