jenniferd
I have an H1B with companyA. We applied for H1B transfer with companyB 2 weeks back. Received an RFE which lawyers will respond to. Both are reputable companies. CompanyB Lawyers have advised that I can join companyB and do not have to wait for a complete transfer. I was wondering if its ok to do that. Thanks. Link to comment
jairichi
By law you can do but it is suggested to wait for approval. You will be in trouble if you move to B and B's petition is denied and A revokes your H1B petition. Link to comment

itsmeusa
You can, but in transfer cases, it's always advisable to get H1b xfer approved before you join. Reason being if you join before approval and by whatever reason, xfer is defined, you are immediately in out of status and you need to exit US. Link to comment
