craziedude
Hello Friends, My parents and my grandmother had applied for B2 visa in 2012 and it was denied under 214b. We presume this was because I am an LPR. At that time, they had mentioned that I would be paying for their trip. They would like to apply for the B2 visa again and need some help. Parents background: My father is still working and living an independent life, my mother and grandmother are home-makers. They own their own house and land, have enough saving to fund their entire trip 3 times over. They have a big house and land. My sister and brother-in-law live nearby. We have a huge close knit family all living within 20 mins of each other. Question is: a. Should my mom and grandmom apply together without my father? My father can apply later? b. They are going to self fund this time. What documentation would they require other than bank stmts and CA certified letter of their finance situation? c. Can they "Explain" their "strong ties" on DS-160 when answering the questions "have you ever been refused a US visa"? d. Any other comments / help would be highly appreciated. Thank you for your help. Link to comment

pontevecchio
In fact the advise was helpful. The firm of Murthy in Chennai should be able to guide them and at the very least stop them from making any errors like using a Visa consultant which many people seem to do, not that I am saying they did so in the past. Usually they take a couple of minutes at the Interview to decide based on the submitted documents and experience. The fact that you are a PR is immaterial. Strong ties tend to be self explanatory. They should be able to get the visa if they consult the firm in Chennai. Link to comment
