sapen Posted September 17, 2014 Report Share Posted September 17, 2014 Hello, My company lawyer asked me if I want to go with premium processing or normal processing for my I-140 and told me that in november visa bulletin the EB2 dates for India are going to retrogress to some time in 2005. Since my PD is 2013 march I told him I will go with regular processing as he said there is no advantage of filing it in premium. But actually I wanted to file I140 in premium. So today he said they already filed it in regular processing and will give me receipt number as soon as they receive it. * My question is how long will it take to get the receipt number for I-140? * can I expedite my I-140 now? itsmeusa Posted September 18, 2014 Report Share Posted September 18, 2014 IT may take 1 to 4 weeks to receive the receipt. Yes, you could request premium processing any time. But, in your case, unless you need I-140 approval to file H1b beyond 6 years, why are you rushing? Link to comment
