andy1808
Hi, I have an approved H1 effective from oct1st 2014.I am currently in US. I am on a lookout for projects via my employer but unfortunately unable to find any suitable one so far. I haven't received my H1 papers yet from my employer. My questions are :- 1.If I need to change my status back to h4, when should I do that? 2.Should I submit a resignation letter before starting the COS? 3.Can I change my status here in US or do I need to go to India for a change of status and Visa Stamping. Kindly assist. Link to comment
jairichi
1. If you do not report to employer you have 60 days from H1B start date to do that. 2. Better. 3. You can chage it here as long as you do not go out of status. Link to comment
omshiv
If you didnt get paid during the time you were on H1B...then complain to DOL against the fraud employer. Basically you'll need paystubs to do COS to H4 i guess. Link to comment
